gentlemanPA
What does the confirmation email look like? I received this email "Your application to the Physician Assistant Studies, Master (Phoenix Biomedical) program at Northern Arizona University for the Fall 2023 semester has been successfully submitted. You will receive additional information after your application has been processed by the Admissions office." But I feel like I'm missing something, such as on the graduate college application via ApplyWeb. I'm trying to find the status of my app through the LOUIE link they sent. You have met all of the minimum requirements for admission. Your application will be forwarded to the next level of review. Please do not contact us for updates as this is the only update we are able to give you at this time."

Seems like I may receive it later as I submitted my app on May 20th, was verified on the 23rd and received that other email on the 17th, (but I guess because I submitted the graduate college app before the CASPA app). I received the same email as you as well! My CASPA application was also verified on the 23rd. I emailed NAU to just check up on the status and they said they know waiting is the hardest part but they’ve received thousands of applications so it may take a bit to receive that second confirmation email that alliePAige and Blr28 received.

Oh wow! I bet! But awesome, thank you for this. It only makes sense and its very understandable. I feel much better now, thanks!
Anonymoushelix
For all the people who received the "preliminary review has been completed" email, is this after you completed their secondary application or after sending in your primary CASPA application? I completed the secondary application on 5/20 just for reference and I haven't received an email like that yet.

I'm just curious how many characters people used for the question describing your connection to AZ? I feel like mine is too short? For me, I feel like their character limit is the best portrayal of how much you SHOULD include in your personal statement. However, this doesnt meant that you should lose sleep over trying to reach 2999 characters either. I strived to keep it a little more than half the character amount.

For their question about the mission statement though I wrote basically 2500 characters!

prepaKM
Just a curiosity question, when their CASPA school-specific question says to explain any excessive bad grades, what did you all consider to be the cut-off for writing that question vs. saying not applicable? Is one bad grade or two bad grades worth explaining, or is it referring to more than that? Edited June 19, 2022 by prepaKM

Is one bad grade or two bad grades worth explaining, or is it referring to more than that? I included anything I genuinely thought was a red flag on my application. For example: I explained my one W from 5 years ago, and why I reduced my course load one semester. It's better to explain something than not at all, given the opportunity. I discussed any grades that were a C or lower, especially if this was in a Science course (mine were only in O CHM).
