Hi, does anyone know whether application submission should be held until casper is completed or would it be better to submit now without casper. I'm scheduled to take casper on August 28th.

I'd submit now! They don't require casper and they would be submitted separately anyways since there's no way to add casper to your caspa. Plus, then you can get a feel for how you think you did before you submit. Good luck!

Is the GRE heavily weighed in the admissions process for an interview

Not really LOL. I say this because the GRE really doesn't test anything related to your knowledge of science. Programs know that it isn't the strongest indicator of program success. It's just used as a checkmark for many programs. As long as you have 50th percentile and 300+ (basically above the minimum requirement), you will be okay. The CASPER and PA-CAT (Im not sure if Barry has included that this admission cycle) is more important than the GRE. For reference, I got a 306 and 2.5 in writing.

I don’t think it’s required the CASPER or PA CAT but thank you so much for your response

Hey everyone!

I'm a current PA-S1 student in Barry University Miami Campus. I'm glad to answer anyone's questions/concern they have regarding the program and interview process!

Good luck.

Do you enjoy the fact that Barry Uni is in Miami? Is it hard not to be distracted by the "party culture" that goes on in that city?

I love that Barry is in Miami because the atmosphere reminds me where I'm originally from.

It's not at all hard to not get distracted by the party culture. You will be so stressed with PA school and the tests that you will find going out and partying, repulsive. This week alone, I have 4 tests. 2 more in the following week. Find friends who have a balance between working hard and partying. They will be your influence. You yourself should have the discipline to know when it's time to have fun and when it's time to buckle up and hit the books.

TBH, Barry is not near downtown Miami where most of the partying is.
