Has anyone noticed on caspa they require signatures from the health professionals you’ve shadowed? Is this required? Did everyone else do this.

I haven't started it yet specifically for this reason but it also said somewhere that a supervisor can sign for the facility where you shadowed (I believe). This part of the application seems tedious tbh ;(

Yeah this sucks! Only school I know that is requiring this. I emailed them and waiting on a reply.

It’s mainly an issue for me bc I shadowed health professionals so long ago and would be odd to contact them back.

I received a confirmation email of my application being received on May 24,2022 and I still have not received an email for an interview which is disappointing. All my stats are excellent except GRE score the multiple choice part because I did good on the writing. This is frustrating, it seems they are only looking at my GRE scores.

@ohdorkai I got a 282 and barely studied for it because I was working full time as a phlebotomist and had 7 classes with 4 of them being science courses. I did everything else above what they asked for except GRE. My gpa is high, science gpa high, I have over 2000 hours of DPE as a phlebotomist ands scribe and 1000 shadowing hours, I have my cpr card, I have 4 letters of rec one from a PA and others from doctors I used to scribe for at the Miami cancer institute of baptist hospital. I am bummed that they will look at my GRE scores and think that's the actual me when really that test does not define me. I did great in the writing portion, I got a 4.5. I wish they would opt for the PACAT instead of the GRE, I got a great score in the PACAT since it was all about science which was what I learned from my degree. The GRE is another loop hole for them because it had NOTHING to do with what I learned from my science degree.
