2022-2023 APPLICATION

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! I’m still waiting to hear back after submitting my secondary application in mid August. For those of you who have received interview invites (or have gotten accepted - congrats!), do they let you know when they’re reviewing your application or do they just extend an interview offer/rejection? My portal still says queued for review and I’m just looking to get a general idea of how the process is going, thank you in advance!

That’s all it ever said for me, just that it was under review and then I received a call for an interview.

Has anybody updated their experience hours on their wake forest supplementary application that is hoping for an interview invite? If so, what did you upload?

I did just incase they checked that more for updated hours vs CASPA. I just submitted a PDF of my job location, title, and total hours! I figured they could get the other details from my application. I am updating it every 4 weeks as well!

I uploaded updated PCE hours as of October 1, since their website says "Deadline to complete 1,000 hours of pre-admission healthcare experience: October 1, 2022", but now I'm wondering if I should continue to do so as you are...

So I know Wake Forest does IBL learning, but does that mean we still have classes like pharmacology, ethics, human physiology? When I did my interview, it seemed like we would do anatomy and a few other classes but it was mainly case studies through IBL. Can anyone clarify? I would just like a better idea of their curriculum. I tried looking online, and I was only able to find information about IBL. Thanks!

The way I understood it, you still have all the same classes it’s just you spend less time in lecture every week. And instead you have your IBL groups where you do case studies and apply what you are learning throughout the week.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if a few of you, that were either accepted or denied, could share your stats (GRE, GPA, PCE, shadowing, major of study, etc). I'm trying to get an idea of if I'd have a good chance of acceptance. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @FuturePA2324. I interviewed and waiting to hear back but I will say Wake emphasizes on not creating a competitive academic environment, I truly believe they mean that while looking at the applicants holistically. My stats were not the greatest but my life experience may be something that sets me apart. If you meet their minimum requirements I think you have a good chance. Did you interview?
