TheMuschroomKing
Suppose my SP suddenly resigns from their position at my clinic. What happens to me as a PA? If I cannot practice without an SP, what recourse do I have? Info: I am licensed in Louisiana and there is only one doctor at our facility, so I only have one SP. iconic
You cannot practice Not only that, but lots of insurance credentialing is tied to a specific MD so re credentialing may take a long time; basically I wouldn't work for a solo practice that is not owned by a physician Edited May 6, 2022 by iconic 1 2
Mayamom
Who ever owns the clinic needs to find you a new or even temporary SP. If they can't you need to stop seeing patients. 1
Cideous
Without a sup doc you are done. Practicing without one, even one day is a one way ticket to the loss of your license. Exactly why so many of us have been pushing for laws like NP's have in over 30 states. If a doc resigns, it's a non-issue. 1 1
