prepacarol
I am currently a senior and graduating on May 13th. I know it can take a while for transcripts to get sent over to CASPA, so I am a bit confused on when I should request my transcript. Should I request it now without having my final grades or degree finished on it, or should I wait a few more weeks and order it after my final grades and degree is awarded on it? A lot of the schools I am applying to have rolling admissions, so I am just wanting to stay on top of things!
kaitt236
Wait until your degree is finished. That way your true final GPA will be calculated on CASPA. Once CASPA calculates your GPA, any additional courses taken won't be included in your GPA. Plus, that way you won't have to update the schools later too. TallPAJay
@prepacarolwhen you go in to order your transcripts, sometimes the schools will let you "order" them and select the option to hold grades until the degrees are posted for the semester. I used this option last year and right when degrees were finalized, I received an email that CASPA received my transcript. Just do not select the option to send grades now.
