Recommendation Letters

Personally I don't like this approach. If the instructor wants someone else to write the letter and then sign it, that's his (or her) prerogative but I don't think you should be in the loop. I'm a professor and actually writing letters -- while it takes time -- is one of the most rewarding things I get to do. I can actually pay it forward that way.

See if you can find someone who appreciates the task at hand.
