Hey guys! I hope everyone is feeling good about this upcoming application cycle starting next week.

I'm pretty passionate about getting into UNE's PA program this year and would love to get some discussions going with other applicants while we go through the process.

First off, has anyone heard about the PA program at UNE hosting any kind of zoom/in-person information meeting or campus tour type thing in the next few months? I'd love to learn as much about to the program as possible.

Whoo! I'm excited to apply to this school this semester. I don't have any formal shadowing hours with a PA and have been struggling to find one in my area (even with the help of a MD who knew a few PAs) so I was so happy to see on their CASPA app that they were waiving the requirement. I think they require a supplemental in lieu of it, but I thought I would mention this for anyone else potentially in the same boat. Best of luck to everyone 🙂 !!!!

Hi everyone! I have not heard anything back as well besides the conformation email. This is my first year applying too!

(edited)

I applied last cycle and got my confirmation email that I was under review on May 6, received an email about my prerequisite course status on May 14, and received my rejection (no interview) on November 18. Last cycle the first person to comment about getting an interview was on August 26.

Just to give an approximate timeline so that people aren't stressing early about not hearing back. It's a very long process and I stressed a lot last cycle before realizing how long it takes.

Got an email this morning that my application and LOR have passed the preliminary review and will now undergo an in-depth evaluation!

When did you get confirmation from UNE that your application was received?

I submitted it via CASPA on May 7th, received and email on the 18th that it was received by them an under review. Then I had to clarify a prerequisite for the admissions office, she reached out to me on May 20th. Following that I received the email that it was finished with preliminary review and directed to the Committee on Physician Assistant Admissions yesterday (June 21).

Received an email today stating that the Graduate Admissions Office has completed the preliminary review of my application. My application has been shared with the Committee on Physician Assistant Admissions. Fingers crossed for interview invitation. 🤞
