pa456
Also, do schools keep admission essays from rejected applicants?
Just Steve
Do you hope for the same results? Definition of insanity is to repeat the same steps and expect different results. Have you done nothing in the past year to improve yourself? Nothing to speak of?
GatorRRT
I think it's okay to use the base of your previous essay, if you included your motivation to be a PA, etc. But you shold be adding what you did during this cycle to improve your application. Did you get to the interview stage last year?
pa456
No, this is my first year applying but was asking for future reference in case I were to rewrite it if/when I reapply next year.
Just Steve
The power of positive thought can have more energy than most people give it credit for. Your PS and interview(s) (if selected) can and do reflect your level of self confidence, even when you yourself think you are covering it well. It is my opinion that you need to put your whole self into this year and ignore the notion that you may have to repeat it. Negative thoughts are distractors and you need ever last possible positive vibe. So enough with this "just in case" attitude. If it eventually comes to that you have about6 or 7 months to completely revamp your approach. My dad always said "If you say you can, you're right. If you say you can't, you're right.". Power of positive thought...harvest that good energy.
buffchic
I would use a reapplication process as an opportunity to give a whole new perspective and freshness to your essay. As someone above already mentioned, "do you want the same result?"
