ChrisPAinED
This is my chest x-ray. I have a history of asthma and had a asthma exacerbation not to long ago. I took a photo of my x-ray and blurred my full name and accidentally had flash on. I have already been diagnosed and treated so I am just showing image for PA students. Anyone can comment the signs of asthma on the X ray but pa students first or if no pa students got a guess a pa can put it in.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted April 7, 2022 Moderator Share Posted April 7, 2022 I am not going to answer your question, but advise students to think about CXRs in terms of ABCDEF: airway( deviation? FB?) bones (fractures, tumors, dislocations, etc) cardiac/mediastinum (heart size, dilated pulmonary vasculature, etc) diaphragms (free air, etc) extraneous/everything not present at birth(pacemakers, hardware, tubes, Lines, gown snaps, etc) Fields (Pneumothorax, infiltrate, effusion, atelectasis, etc). Do this last or you miss embarrassing ABCDE things like this: PA read: Normal chest. Radiology read: Normal lungs, L scapular fx.
