Travel Ortho PA curious about newer W2 law…

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

wondering how other Locum PAs are dealing with the W2 law in California. My locum company normally is 1099, but now that I’m starting an ortho locum in Oakland, it is W2.

True they are taking out for taxes, but bc its not a 1099, how am I supposed to write off everything? Health insurance, supplies, meals, retirement investing?

Anyone else have experience in this arena?

Thanks in advance. Feel free to private message me or respond here.
