FiveCharecters
Surgical subspecialty PA looking for examples of other similarly employed PAs bonus structures. Are you paid for assisting in the OR? How much? Flat fee? Percentage of some value? Bonus paid based off RVU? No experience with this area so trying to get a general feel of what is "normal/reasonable" Thanks.
Burnout123
Base salary +bonus Bonus is based on collections over threshold amount $150k We get 15% of anything collected over that. I'm in OR first assist and clinic. I believe PAs get 16% of surgeon's fee. Most of my collections comes from established office visits. Postops, nonbillable assist and hospital rounds is where some people get screwed . If you are only doing postops in clinic and assisting a slow Dr or something like a hand surgeon you can get almost nothing. I collected a little over $350k this past cycle Hope this helps. AbeTheBabe
My previous job was salary + bonus. Bonus was 10% of all collections. If you can bring in high numbers start high at 50% after double your salary and see what you can get. Do you already work there? How much do you normally bring in?
