I have 3 years experience as a certified medical assistant working in an outpatient cardiology office. Should I list this as healthcare experience or patient care experience? Not sure what to do since CASPA label medical assisting as healthcare experience when I think it should be patient care experience.

What did you do? Roles?

On the CASPA website, it lists medical assisting and CNA has "healthcare experience" but I know most schools taking MA as patient care experience. For the sake of my application, wouldn't it be better to label my experience as PCE instead of HCE?

That should be PCE, if you are actually taking vitals, etc. If it's like answering phones, managing the front/back office, etc, then no.
