abcapplicant
Hello, UW is my top choice school and I am looking to get PCE. I am wondering if it is worth it to become an EMT or try to just get a job that doesn't require additional training such as a scribe or PT aide. Does anyone know if they rank certain PTE as higher quality and what would be within that group? Thanks!
alvll
Hey there, I think that UW values high quality and hands on patient care. So, for example of people that I know have been accepted : PCE has been as an RN, EMT, paramedic, CNA, ultrasound technologist, radiology technologist. So yes I think getting your CNA or EMT or some other credential that leads to more independence and level of care provided for patients will look best for the UW application. Good luck! MediMike
Agree with above, strongly suggest obtaining HCE which actually pertains to taking care of patients.
