Wake Forest ELP Program

Recommended Posts

Hey there! I was recently accepted into the ELP business program for this cycle as well and after discussing my options with a few providers at the primary care clinic I currently work at, they all suggested taking the opportunity. They said that it would be beneficial long-term if I ever wanted to take on a managerial/ leadership role and that it could be helpful for PA advocacy down the road. Its only 10 months and after graduating PA school, I know personally I will have much less motivation to ever return to graduate school and stop practicing if I decided to take on a more administrative role. During the interview, they also specially stated it could be helpful in the job search and negotiating salaries, and that a recent graduate of the program stated they were able to become the "lead PA' in their practice after only working for a year. Additionally, it will never hurt to understand the business side of healthcare better in terms of effective patient care. Just my two cents, hope this helps!
