Jean16
Hey guys just curious if anyone has gotten licensed in other states to work remotely. I have a full time job in my state and per diem remote in a nearby one but seeing slot of listings for jobs further away that are also remote. Wondering if it’s worth it to get licensed there to pick up another per diem. Just wanted to hear if anyone else has done this and what their experiences have been like
VeryOldPA
It by “remote” you mean treating patients via telemedicine you have to be licensed in the state where the patient is physically located
Reality Check 2
You don't have to be licensed in other states if you are a federal employee seeing federal patients such as VA. You just have to have one license. Otherwise for civilian practices, you have to be licensed in that state. Somewhere there is now an organization of virtual PAs - a group. I don't have their website handy but they exist. Telemedicine is still very tricky for civilians and requires a lot of knowledge to avoid lawyers.
