MediMike
Alright my hospitalist colleagues. As anyone looking in the CC section may have seen we are in the process of negotiating a new compensation plan, some of my hospitalist friends let me know that they were receiving an RVU bonus: $7/RVU up to 2500 > $11/RVU after meeting that 2500 Since I don't work production I have absolutely NO idea what kind of RVU generation a PA in the hospitalist role generates in say, a 10hr shift. Anybody willing to chime in on what the average # RVUs generated/shift would be? Sure it varies if you're a rounder vs admitter but any numbers would be great, thanks! Patho
I round and admit. I get 3K for reaching threshold of 1K RVUs per 6 months, $10/RVUs. Annual limit is 15K total for RVUs. Average RVUs per shift is around 24 rounding, admit is variable (as low as 15, as high as 40). I work 7 on 7 off, 12 hr shifts.
