PAStephP
I'm currently licensed with the osteopathic board in PA and have been working full-time under a DO for the last 4 years. I'm now adding a 2nd, part-time job under another DO with a completely separate practice. Am I able to add a new supervising physician and written agreement without affecting my agreement for my full-time position? I can only find a written agreement change form (which I don't think is the correct form to use) or a new application (which I'm afraid will replace my full-time SP/written agreement). Does anyone have any experience with this? Also, my malpractice insurance is paid for by my full-time SP. I was just going to purchase a separate policy for PRN work to cover my part-time job, but everything I am finding on the state licensing web site says the policy needs to be for $1M. Please help! MSPAC2
I am not sure I understand your question. Whenever I've had a per diem gig, I had a separate contract and supervisory agreement (submitted to the State board). Those employers also included me on their malpractice group insurance. I wouldn't take a per diem gig if they didn't at least cover licensing and malpractice. Edited August 9, 2021 by MSPAC2
AnnaBH
I have the same question but for the medical board. Am I able to work two jobs with two different primary supervising physicians? My current supervisor is an MD.
ohiovolffemtp
I can't speak for the states which have separate boards for DO and MD. In the 4 states where I'm licensed, I can and have had multiple supervising docs. I do EM at a number of hospitals, and have separate supervisory agreements for each site.
