Ael77
I am looking at obtaining my Medical Assistant certification this summer, but was wondering if it is really worth the time and money. I know there are practices that do not require certification to work as a MA, but I have heard that it can help your chances of getting into PA school, is this true??? Does anyone have any insight on this?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted May 5, 2021 Moderator Share Posted May 5, 2021 Having any kind of certificate in health care associated with direct patient care can only help. This applies to MA, CNA, EMT, etc
AshySlashy
Definitely helpful (echoing EMEDPA). Some programs (the one I graduated from) added "points" to an application for certifications, specific extra courses, etc. which could increase the likelihood of you being accepted.
