I'm new to the forum but just something I might point out is several schools I saw specifically want a LOR from a PA. I did see several that just said MD or PA so I guess it all depends where you are applying. Same with everything else in your stats. Depends what schools you are applying to but overall I would say you sound like a pretty solid candidate. More solid than my stats for sure besides the PCE.

Yeah! So none that I’m applying to specifically say PA. They say MD or PA. Thank you so much!

You should have no issues getting an interview. The goal is to get an interview and then leave it up to your personality to getting in.

You have a competitive GPA and a variety of experience. PCE is average so continue working on that. Write a captivating essay and interviews should pour in.

Good luck!

Hey y'all so I am a sophomore in undergrad and in the process of just starting to get PCE, shadow, and volunteer hours and etc, but I am super stressed out because I am itching to start getting PCE hours except its so difficult while in school. I was thinking about becoming an EMT and working for 2 years after I graduate but I wasn't sure if being an EMT is considered PCE among most colleges, does anyone know? (I also tried to work as a caregiver over summer and that job isn't for me)

Also, I'm trying to compile a list of PA schools to apply to, so if anyone has any recommendations for schools on the east coast please let me know! 🙂

Hey everyone, there are still tickets available for those who are interested in the Loma Linda PA program. We have changed our event from zoom to being ON CAMPUS. There will be prizes raffled off. Due to some restrictions still being in place, the tickets that are being sold will only allow one person per ticket. More info on the flyer and event bright website. Thank you so much! Hope to see you there. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/llus-3rd-annual-pre-pa-conference-tickets-145958073527

Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I just graduated with my bachelor's in February. I am looking to pursue into a PA program but not quite sure where to start. I am currently studying for the GRE and have about 250 internship hours done at an ENT clinic with an audiologist. I'm not sure in what I am doing and need any guidance or suggestion in what to do.

Hello! I thought I would get the forum for the SIU application started!
Has anyone had trouble filling out the supplemental application? There is no option to choose "Summer 2022".

Hi everyone! This is my first post so be forgiving if I don't have proper forum etiquette lol. So I am extremely nervous to apply this cycle, 2021-2022, because I feel as though my application is not going to be that strong. Here's what I have (keep in mind that I am a junior in college, so I have some more classes to take):
      cGPA: 3.27
sGPA: right now I have a 3.1, but after this semester I am thinking that it will be around a 3.3
HCEs: over 2,000 as a CNA
I haven't asked for LORs yet, but I am sure that those I ask will highly recommend me (crossing my fingers!).
I don't have as many volunteer hours as I would like, around 50, but I am currently working on them.
I am also involved on campus as an Orientation Leader, I am the President of Nature Club, the treasurer of a History club, and I am also apart of many other clubs, I am just not holding any positions in them. I don't know if this is relevant or not but I also take juijistu classes off campus.
I did have some mishaps happen throughout college, I earned a C- in human A&P, and I had to retake biochemistry. I'm not sure if I should retake human A&P to raise my grade and GPA or let it go. I am going to apply this cycle to programs that do not have a minimum letter grade, but I am honestly so worried that these schools won't even look at my application because of my GPA and my A&P grade.
Any and all recommendations are welcome, thank you!
