*References for Newbies to Inpatient medicine*

Recommended Posts

I just started a Hospitalist job.

EM Basic has been a great refresher for the ED. Does anyone know of any similar reference notes / concise list of tips for Internal Med?

I wasn't exposed much to hospitalist work as a student (did my IM rotation outpatient), and am pretty much clueless to the hospitalist work.

Would appreciate any recommendations that won't make me look like an idiot 😓

If you're at an academic center, see if you can grab a copy of the Medciine Residency manual, good start.

Above is good as well. In addition, I did the AAPA Hospital Medicine Boot Camp a decade ago when I first started and it was helpful (buy the copy of the guide beforehand, worth it), probably still exists virtually.
