Nichole93 0
Hi! Currently interviewing and on the job hunt as a new grad which has been tougher than anticipated. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone could give any advice or experience on transitioning from something like cosmetic derm/ a Med spa to a more general practice or other specialty later? I was curious as a new grad if I started at a Med spa type facility then tried to transition later if that would cause any issues or still be considered good experience. Thank you! sas5814 3,046
I think if you are a new grad and go to a med-spa your core skills are going to erode quickly and, when you decide to go into another specialty or even primary care, it would not be looked upon favorably. If you wanted to get into a crowded market or a specialty that is hard to get into you likely would get a second glance.
