NAShelton83
Good Morning, I am looking for a standard PA employment contract for the state of California. I have a solo practice physician who would like to hire 1-2 more PA's but would like to have an example of the employment agreement she should have, for an outpatient clinic. Any examples or templates would be appreciated. I have inquired to CAPA and AAPA but unfortunately they do not have templates available. Thank you Nicole
AbeTheBabe
California is at will employment, so I don't think contracts are generally a thing here. Maybe just an offer letter to include pay, work hours, and all benefits so that you have everything in writing. I didn't have one with my private employer, and I don't have one with the large healthcare system here.
Moderator ventana Posted March 3, 2021 Moderator Share Posted March 3, 2021 common to confuse "at will" with employment contracts but they are pretty much not related. "at will" as a state designation means that there is not an implied unwritten contract and that either party can terminate "at will". The employment contract is an agreement that details what the arrangement of your employment is.
