QUESTION - At what point in your essay do you put your strongest point?

Hey PA Community,

 

Had a general question for essays because I'm disagreeing with someone who's proofreading my work. At what point in your essay do you put your strongest point? Is it your first paragraph, or your last?

 

I've always been taught to put my strongest point last, but my friend says to put it as the first paragraph, since that's when admissions committees would be paying the most attention.

 

Thoughts? Opinions?
