As some background I have about 53 hours in shadowing PAs and have been desperately trying to get more (Covid is making this extremely hard to do ugh! Is anyone else having issues or is it just me?). While looking/waiting for other PA shadowings to pop up I started recently shadowing a wound care nurse on the side. Would doing something like this count towards shadowing hours you think or not really? Or would adding something such as this on my app hurt it? TheFatMan Posted January 31, 2021 Share Posted January 31, 2021 I don't think it would count as shadowing unless it is an NP. I also don't think it will hurt you. You could simply explain you aren't interested in becoming a nurse, but wanted to get more of an idea about healthcare and the healthcare team and there were no other shadowing experiences available to you. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
