Bodiggler Posted January 20, 2021 I am looking at possibly making a switch from a civilian job to the VA. I was wondering if any fellow PAs would like to share their experiences working in primary care at the VA? Quote
GetMeOuttaThisMess Posted January 20, 2021 (edited) Depends on facility and area of PC. ACC in a N. Texas setting was not my cup of tea. Got dumped on by specialty clinics not infrequently. It also depends on whether you have rotating residents or not from a local med school. The residents missed a lot and were the best at dumping. Edited January 20, 2021 by GetMeOuttaThisMess Quote

So basically no different than working in the ER.... Quote
CAAdmission Posted January 25, 2021 Check out the benefits carefully when you look at the VA. I looked a long while back and the pension setup was not the awesome thing I had been led to believe. I can't believe it would have gotten better through the years. Quote
