jtroutwin Posted November 18, 2020 Share Posted November 18, 2020 Hey everyone, I am curious if anyone has taken pre-reqs, specifically biochemistry, through UC San Diego extension? If so, how was it? It's a very affordable option so quite appealing. https://extension.ucsd.edu/courses-and-programs/biochemistry Additionally, I guess I want to make sure it would be accepted by schools. Is there a way to determine if a specific course/institution would be accepted by PA schools, without sifting through each individual school pre-req page? Thanks! BLM8867 Posted November 24, 2020 Share Posted November 24, 2020 Most Biological/Chemistry classes require a separate "Lab" course in conjunction with the lecture course. Since Biochem isn't a standardized requirement for all PA programs, you better off just asking the specific programs that require it. Best of luck. michalynkelli Posted December 8, 2020 Share Posted December 8, 2020 I took the Biochemistry course through UCSD extension and found it to be pretty easy, although I did attend UCSD itself and found the course structure to be similar to my undergrad.
