Walkoffshot
Got our booklist in today. Hoping to get a word of expertise in the room about 2 books to choose from. Any reviews would be much appreciated. 1) Berne & Levy Physiology. (6th ed.). ISBN-13: 9780323073622 ($115.00 - school approximate) OR 2) Textbook of Medical Physiology (12th ed.) ISBN-13: 9781416045748 ($125.00 - school approximate) My heart tells me #2, but my wallet says #1.. what's an extra $10 anyways. Also, best medical dictionary out there? School listed Mosby’s, Taber’s, Stedman’s or Dorland’s to choose from.
flyingsquirrel
I know nothing about #2, but Berne and Levy is EXTREMELY dense. It is great as a reference, but don't try to read more than a paragraph at a time.
panelson
Not familiar with either of the ones you listed so I don't want to give my opinion there, but for a medical dictionary go with Taber's
