Bodyworking skills

Recommended Posts

For anyone out there who has previously been in a bodyworking profession, have you found a niche to be able to apply this skill set and experience? I have been an orthopedic massage therapist with a focus on pain management for 9 years now and I adore it. I am SO looking forward to being a PA, but frankly more than a little devastated to give up doing hands-on practice. I've been working as an MA for awhile, and it seems that by taking the step up to be a provider, you give up being able to perform the therapies yourself. Is this simply a sacrifice that has to be made, or has anyone found that sweet spot or specialty where you can still be a hands-on practitioner? Thanks for any input.
