Patricia5827
I am planning to apply in 2021 for my third cycle (ugh). My GRE was in 2016 and expires in October of 2021, my score was 150 verbal/156 quant/5.0analytical. Should I retake the GRE? I just feel like my scores are old. I am retaking prereqs currently though that I got C's in and am taking upper level classes as well to improve my low GPA
WakadanPA
I would not retake, unless you need a higher GRE score to help boost your application due to low PCE or low GPA. You have a combined 306 that is evenly distributed and a 5.0 in writing, which is a good score IMO. I would use the $205 to retake courses or apply to 4 additional schools. 1
Patricia5827
Refreshing this topic just to see what anyone else thinks? Im still retaking classes while also working a FT job and a PT PCE job. I started out a couple months ago studying to plan to take it, but got super busy with classes and work so pushed it aside. Now just wondering if I should take it again. Im planning to submit apps in May so my GRE scores will still be good then for schools

I really don't believe the GRE is weighted much at all.
