BridgettePA
Hello. I am currently a PA in Kansas and my employer is wanting me to get a WA license to do Telemedicine for patients in WA. I have read through all the licensing requirements but am confused on the supervising physician. It seems there needs to be a delegation agreement between myself and a Physician in order to have prescriptive authority and gain my license. Does this Physician need to be located in WA or can it be my supervising physician in KS? Thanks!
MSPAC2
Anecdotally, I have had an employer who couldn't find a SP within the state, he was licensed in OR and I had him as an SP for almost a year. Try contacting the WA Academy of PAs, they've been helpful for me in the past about WA State PA practice.
Enterprise
I was told by the DOH in WA it HAS to be a physician who has a WA license. Maybe things have changed with the covid situation but this was the case a year ago when I called them.
