Robtxpa
I’ve been a PA for 27 years. May practice for 7-12 more years. I may be dinosaur compared to the majority of current PAs, but PAs by name are consistently in the top 5 of “best jobs” list each year and usually ahead of NPs. So maybe the name isn’t the problem. I personally am fine with retiring as a PA or at most physician associate but I’m sure it will be physician’s associate just like physician’s assistant is miss used so it will not in my opinion make a huge change. Maybe Certified Practitioner or Medical Practitioner. Could also add the specialty in front Certified surgical practitioner for example, but would need to test or take internship for that privilege which only seems reasonable.
