A.T. Still - Central Coast PA program (developing PA program in Santa Maria)

Recommended Posts

Greetings to all potential applicants,

I'm writing on behalf of the faculty at the Santa Maria, ATSU Central Coast California PA program. We are delighted to announce that we have decided to extend our application cycle for the cohort starting October 2021.

We have extended the deadline until May 31, 2021

1. You can apply on the University website since we are not utilizing CASPA this year.

If you would like to receive emails from our department about upcoming Online Virtual Information Sessions please fill out this GoogleForm. We will be sending webinar registration emails to those who sign up. At these sessions you will be able to meet some of our faculty and staff as well as ask questions about our program.

Reach out to the admission department if you have any questions admissions@atsu.edu.

If you have questions please note we do not routinely monitor this forum, however we will be able to answer questions for those who attend the information sessions or who reach out to us in the googleform (link above).

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sara Wilson, MPAS, PA-C

Curriculum Coordinator CCPA Program

Received an acceptance call earlier today about 3 weeks after my interview 🤗 Very excited for this program and hopeful for accreditation review this June!

Just wanted to tell everyone I got the call, I'm in!!! I'm extremely stoked for this program. It's going to be life-changing! Wooo!! 🎉🎉🎉 Looking forward to meeting the cohort this Fall!

Numerous applicants have private messaged me, seeking insight regarding the modules and interviews. Each time someone asks about these processes, I encourage their success on the modules and interview

  • 2 weeks later...

Just want to say that I got my acceptance call earlier today and I am so excited for this program! It took exactly 4 weeks from my first interview to hear back. Good luck to everyone! This was a long journey for me but I am so excited to start in October.

Hi everyone! Now that they extended the deadline, is there anybody who was planning to wait to apply until the new cycle now considering applying this cycle? I had assumed I would just wait, but now that they extended to May 31st I’m on the fence. I know there are limited seats left so I’m not sure.

I would still go for it and apply this cycle still. in most programs, people give up their seats for other schools so there is a chance more spots could open up as well. Then as insurance, apply for the upcoming cycle to other schools as well.

  • 3 weeks later...

Super excited!

I received my acceptance call earlier today. I wasn't expecting to hear back for another week or so. A great way to celebrate my birthday - one of the BEST birthday gifts I have ever received.

I look forward to meeting my fellow classmates and wish everyone who has applied and waiting for the call, the BEST of luck!

By the way, the acceptance call came 4 weeks to the day after my first interview :).

So Blessed!!!

I have my first interview coming up, is there ANY advice ANYONE could give me?

For the first interview, which is the MMI style I believe, I recommend taking it one station at a time and be prepared for a variety of questions. If you feel like you messed up in one section, just regroup and focus on the next. Without giving away too much info, really think about the theme of this program, which is assisting underserved communities. Also, recall the canvas modules we had to complete.

For those of you being accepted, have you visited the campus? I am looking into this program for next year. What do

you look forward to most about this program?
