My interview was Jan 18th. They need to have extra people even if the class is full for people who decline or decide not to go later. Alternate is similar to waitlist (this campus has alternate list). Basically if you’re on it you are in a pool of candidates. They just want to get to know you so emphasize your strengths and know your application. There weren't any tricky questions, at least this was my experience! Good luck. Thanks In my interview (January 2018) we had both an individual (with two interviewers) and a group (with the program director and 3 other interviewees). Of course this may have changed since we have a new program director as well as the interview converting to virtual but.. just my previous experience.
