Has anyone had success paying their deposit? I can’t get the link to work. It’s giving me an error saying I don’t have the right credentials...

I had issues with the link as well. I just went on Frostburg’s website and was able to find the right page. I received an email from Wendy Wilson confirming my payment this morning.

Try clicking the Cashnet hyperlink under Pay Your Tuition Deposit on the link I listed.

Does anyone know if their class is already filled up? I just found out about Frostburg and want to submit, but wanted to make sure there is still space!

Their deadline isn't until November 1st so I highly doubt they have filled up their class yet. I think you should go ahead and apply if you feel like you are competitive and would be a good fit for the school!

Congrats to everyone accepted and those with interviews coming up! I have an interview for 9/21!! It’s going to be my first one, any advice?

Also for those who have interviewed with Frostburg this cycle, what was the process like- especially with it being over Zoom?

@EPPA20 and @prePA0353 Congrats on your interviews! I have to say that Frostburg's interview was the most laid back interview I've had so far this cycle. I was nervous going into it and then all of that washed away once I started interacting with the faculty, staff, and other interviewees. For you to get an interview they have already made up their minds that you can handle the rigors of PA school and do well, so during the interview they honestly just want to get to know you as a person and make sure that you are a good fit for the program. It's cliche to say but honestly just be yourself and make sure you have good answers to basic PA school interview questions and are knowledgeable about the profession. The format was as follows: A welcome from faculty and staff and then a series of 1:1 interviews with each faculty member. You also get some time to talk with fellow applicants while waiting to be sent to the next zoom "room" for the 1:1 interviews. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and definitely solidified the program as my number 1 choice.

@Jaw67PA  thank you! That definitely settles a lot of nerves. It sounds like there’s no essay or MMI, is that correct?

Nope. At least not for my interview day

Hey guys I’m working on the supplemental right now and wasn’t sure what to put for the question about housing? Are PA students considered for on-campus housing?

There is no on campus housing, as the program is located in downtown Hagerstown rather than Frostburg. During my interview, one of the faculty members mentioned an apartment complex a few blocks away from campus that offers discounts to students in the program, hopefully we receive information about that in the future.

Hopefully I can shed some light on the housing info!

Here is a link on USM-H website about housing: http://www.hagerstown.usmd.edu/content/student-housing

A lot of the first class ended up living in the Antietam Apartments, as well as two of my classmates. They are nice apartments and only about a 5 minute walk to our building. I'm not 100% but I believe that there are guaranteed apartments available at the two placed they have listed, so it can be less of a headache when trying to find a place to live, hopefully you all don't need to do that in the middle of a pandemic!

However, all housing is considered "off-campus" so you are free to live where ever you would like. Almost half of my class is living at "Parkview Apartments". It is further away than the Antietam apartments, but its in a quieter area and there is a nice park only 1/2 mile away. I chose Parkview apartments because I didn't want a roommate and i wasn't sure if the officially sponsored housing was going to pair me up with somebody, so I just went ahead and signed a lease for a 2br myself. Now granted, I am paying more than what you pay at Antietam Apartments, but I love my apartment here.

@scc27 Thanks for the housing information, it's very helpful to research this stuff now. I was wondering if you know of any PA students that live at The Aria at Hamilton Plaza? That's the apartment complex that's 2 blocks from the school. I'm pretty sure they might offer discounts to students too but I'll have to look more into that. Do you recommend living downtown near the PA program building or outside of the downtown area? I'm worried that living downtown will be too noisy.

Was accepted after being wait listed! Interviewed 08/24 and offered admission 09/11. Very excited! Someone said we weren't able to have a facebook group?

I thought we were, I was waiting to make one till more students were admitted and accepted before making one. However, if there is a rule against a Facebook group I won’t make one
