Great meeting some of y'all today! This interview was definitely a little different than I expected, but I enjoyed it! 🙂 Good luck everyone!

Likewise! It was different than what I expected also but I thought it was a great experience. We met a lot of faculty today and they were all so nice and helpful. Now we play the waiting game. 😅

Mid-January/early-February 😬

This is their default answer for everyone. Some people however, will hear back quite soon after interviews or earlier. When I had interviewed on Dec. 1st in 2017 I heard back on Dec. 13th. Other people that interviewed on my day didn't hear back until February that they were accepted. So even if you hear of others being accepted right away, do not take that as a sign of your own being passed up on. They will send you a rejection outright if they do not believe you are a fit for MBKU.

Some of the questions were just very personalized. lol 🙂

As I stated in a prior post to everyone, they don't particularly care about your grades once you're in interviews. They care more about who you are and what you bring to the table as a person. I'm relatively certain that in my 1-on-1 interviews the guest interviewer was selected to interview with me because he was an ENT PA for 30 something years and I had been a part time MA for an otology/neurotologist subspecialist prior to applying.

Wow, that’s actually so cool...

I just declined my interview for this saturday. I know many people say this but I really had to think about my decision. I interviewed here last year and completely loved it, Marshall was definitely my top choice. I got accepted to a school closer to home and it only makes sense financially, not to move across the country. Good luck everyone, this is a great school.

For those who completed the interviews already, how was it? What kind of style was it? How many questions? How long?

Hi! I thought the interview ran smoothly. I do want to respect their interview process and not give away too much specific detail to keep it a fair process. I will say that everyone was extremely friendly and they all held true to the schedule that was sent a day or two before hand, which provided the timing details of each section. Overall, I felt they wanted to know me as a person beyond my application. Know your values and whats important to you and just be ready to emphasize these in your responses. If you practiced responding to a variety of practice interview questions (I personally used Savanna’s interview guide) you should be fine! Relax the day before the interview, it will help you to think clearly the day of! Good luck 🙂

For the interview do you start by just joining the zoom link for the timed essay for your interview time slot or is there a different group to join first?

You start there! The link is specific for your group time. You then follow the links in order unless stated otherwise in chat by faculty or moderators.

Hi everyone! Question: I just completed one of my in-progress prerequisites for this program (Genetics); does anyone know if I just need to have the transcript reflecting this to sent CASPA, or to MBKU SPAS itself? I looked on the FAQ page but didn't see anything about this specifically. I can email them but thought I'd ask here first. Thank you 🙂

Contact admissions. They’ll have you send an official transcript to them from the school you took the class at. It takes less than 2 days but get it done ASAP. I went through the same situation before my interview.

good luck!

Hi everyone! Has anyone who applied after the priority deadline heard anything yet?

I haven’t yet but based on last year it looks like a week after the second interview they sent out January interviews. So I’m thinking Thursday/Friday or Monday next week.

hopefully we all hear some good news!! Best of luck every one!

I spoke to an advisor today and she told me just notify MBKU SPAS via email once CASPA has received your updated transcript.

I spoke to an advisor today and she told me a week or two from now we should be hearing back regarding interview invites.

Extremely grateful and elated to have received an acceptance call from one of my interviewers at 6pm EST after interviewing on 12/4! This is the best early Christmas gift I could have received after a rough 2 years. I am wishing everyone the best of luck and am excited to start chatting with some future classmates ☺️
