What are my chances?

Recommended Posts

Don't have all the info yet as I'm taking the GRE in three weeks but I only need a minimum of 300 (3.5 W) and I am confident with the studying I've done already that I can at least reach that.

Using CASPA gpa calculator

CGPA: 3.74

SGPA: 3.6-3.7? This all depends on what kinesiology courses will count towards my science gpa

last 60 credits gap: 3.97

PCE: >1000 and still accruing as since I graduated Ive been working almost full time as CNA

Shadowing: 62 Hours with PA in ED and Trauma

Volunteer: two semesters volunteering helping at risk and obese youth, as well as volunteering distributing food to families during COVID (ongoing)

LOR: 1 from PA (who recently graduated from my top program that I would like to apply to), 1 from RN Supervisor from work that I did internship with, 1 from Professor

still editing my PS but I'm confident I can get it to where I want to be.

*However, my transcripts won't be in until the first week of July at the earliest so that is the earliest I can apply. Top choice schools do not explicitly share if they do rolling admissions so unsure how much less of a chance I have submitting that late in the cycle

I think your chances are great. You overall have a solid application - PCE is a bit on the low side but your GPA is pretty high to help make up for that. I think you have a solid chance even applying in July. Obviously earlier is nearly always better, but lots of people would probably say July is not considered pushing it. It's probably pushing it if you submitted in August.

Just apply to a good amount of schools && make sure your application is 100% completed by the time your transcripts come in so you can just click "submit".
