Megumi808
Hello. I went to a public Texas university. I had to drop one class and on my transcript it says “Q” next to it meaning course was dropped. My school uses “W” to stand for withdrawal from university. Does anyone know how CASPA will factor in Q? Thank you
Allegro
They'll go by the definition on the back of the transcript; for a course drop it will usually have a code for drop within the add/drop period which is considered the same as a W and doesn't factor into your GPA, and they usually have a code for drop outside the drop period or withdrawn with penalty, which is considered a withdrawn failing and does count. Megumi808
What if on the back of my transcript it does not differentiate between withdrawal pass and withdrawal failing? My transcript only says “Q” means only has course was dropped
