Transfering information into CASPA

Recommended Posts

I'm a first time application, other had advised to enter my information into CASPA so I can transfer it over into a new application. Today I login and I didn't get the "Transfer application". What should I do? I would really hate to renter all that information all over again. It's so time consuming.

If this is your first time applying, then I don’t know why you’d re-enter the information. I’m not sure I understand.

Same issue here! I had entered all my info in advance and even had the transcripts sent and received from one of my colleges (this was about 2 months ago). I was also told by a CASPA rep that transcripts would transfer over when the new cycle started...and now it looks like I'll have to start all over again.

I contacted them today and was told "We have reviewed your application and see that you did not list a program to apply to on your previous application, so our system did not recognize that you began an application. Unfortunately, you will need to start the application over as we do not have a way to carry your information forward to the current application." 😞

Best of luck!

Very odd. I did this same exact thing you did, and it REQUIRED me to add one program before I could even start my application, from what I remember. I tried to bypass it, thinking I wasnt going to apply for last cycle, but it seemed to force me so I selected some random program. And yeah, everything was transferred over perfectly in about an hour or two when I opened it again this cycle.

Sorry about your situation. Hardly makes any sense to me 😞
