Hello Everyone,

Is anyone aware of any virtual shadowing opportunities through zoom or any other video platform during this COVID-19 Pandemic?

So I'm a fellow pre-PA student who has virtually shadowed many PAs and specialties. I have created a google doc with upcoming virtual shadowing sessions that I update daily. If your interested in that and many more pre-PA resources, you can click the link under my IG bio @mrspopiel. Let me know if you have any questions. We're all trying to make it together so I'm happy to help.

Would people please reply with the name of their PA school and if you have:
-mandatory in-person lectures (and since when)
      -optional online lectures
      -online lectures only
My school has required all classes in person since August 2020 even though COVID numbers are worse now than they were in the summer. They tell us it's required for accreditation, but I am finding out several PA schools are either all online or give their students an option. I understand requiring skills labs and exams in-person, but lectures in person seem unnecessary and irresponsible. Knowing that many schools have an option for online lectures would help us make a better case to stay safer at home. Thanks for your help!

I'm looking into PA school requirements and have seen that most require Human Anatomy & lab, and Human Physiology & lab. My current university (UCSD) only offers a Human Physiology lecture course. Most of the city colleges I'm looking into in order to fulfill this pre-req only offer Human Anatomy or Human Physiology as a single course of lecture and lab, rather than having separate lecture and lab courses. Do PA schools accept lecture & lab combination courses or do they want each lecture and lab to be a separate course?

Hi, thank you to every one who dropped by to help! Below are the science courses I took in order, with grades:
general biology I (C- first time, A second time), general biology II (B-)
**general chemistry I (C+), general chemistry II (C) --- both with labs
      general physiology (B)
      biochemistry (B)
organic chem I (B-), organic chem II (B-)
      genetics (B-)
      microbiology (A)
      human anatomy (A)
      endocrinology (A)

Planning on taking: immunology, human physiology, developmental biology, medical terminology OR primate anatomy
I'm currently a second term senior at a university, and I graduate Spring 2021. Many people advise students to not retake basic courses and focus on upper level courses, but there are also many people who suggest to retake any basic course with C grades to show PA schools that the first grades I received do not define my capability.
Any opinion on whether I should spend extra time to retake general chemistry I and II ? If I should retake them, then should I enroll in the labs again or that won't be necessary since I already took them the first time I took the courses?

Thank you again for your time!
