COVID is drastically affecting their interviews this round. I have someone who works in the registrars office and he told me they are really backed up. They are still trying to figure out how to start

I am in the same boat. I got into another great school, however, financially speaking I would love to attend UNT. I wonder if we will hear soon because I have to make arrangements quite soon 😕

I was accepted into my top choice. April I plan to give up my seat at UNT. I hope one of y’all get it!

Congrats on getting in elsewhere! I'm sure the waitlist folks would appreciate if you'd give up your seat as soon as possible if you've already decided you're not coming.

I’m definitely leaning that way. I just have to make sure things are set up with a contract I have. April 1st will be the soonest.

Anyone hear anything about the waitlist? I wonder how "fluid" it is anymore?

I am debating about asking if they have a "ranking" or if they can give perspective students a better idea of where they stand in the waitlisting process.

To my understanding they reevaluate the people waitlist pool everytime there's an opening, picking the best fit for the upcoming cohort. Not sure if that's true but thats what I've heard from previous alumni

They don't officially have a ranking system. I'm sure they have some internal order of knowing whom to consider next when a spot becomes available, but they don't give any rankings to applicants. They said a few days ago that the waitlist still has movement on it and that they have had one or two spots become available every other week or so. They also said that, at this point, they have about 30 applicants left on the waitlist to still be considered if spots become available.

Only thing I don't remember is how big the waitlist was initially. Does anybody else remember how many people were initially waitlisted?

I emailed them last month and asked them to add me to their "Very Interested Applicant" list to get priority updates and first consideration for newly-available spots.

I'm just kidding. I just called them on Monday and asked them a few questions. I just got the email this morning too. 😛

Lol, I wish there was a thing! I'm getting all these emails about making sure you tell UNTHSC if you're not interested and I'm over here like I promise I will not decline you, give it to me please!

Anyone hear anything as of yet? According to some basic research (looking at this year and last year's posts), it looks like they send out acceptances on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hoping to hear word before I start another PA program.

Hello All pre-PA students! We know how difficult the application process for PA school can be, and we are hoping to make it just a little easier.
Loma Linda University is holding their 3rd annula pre-PA conference to help prospective students learn more about the profession, application process, and our program.
Spend the day with Faculty, local PAs, alumni, and current students! Our main speaker for this event is Tony Adkins PA-C or more popularly known as the "dancing doc".  We will be hosting ultrasound and intubation skills labs as well as several information sessions pertaining to writing your personal statement, how to ace the interview, general Q&A, and profession information.  The goal is to show you how to become a competitive applicant!
DON'T MISS THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT APPLYING TO PA SCHOOL!
LLU PA Program Admission Representatives will be in attendance. Past attendees have been accepted to LLU's PA program. Refreshments will be provided, and there will also be raffle prizes given away every hour!

I started a fiverr gig to help students applying to PA school. Rate is reasonable. I'm not looking to price gouge, but I'll spend a lot of time helping you perfect your application; so some compensation is reasonable. I was accepted to multiple schools with my first application, and I graduated from PA school in 2011.
