I didn’t hear anything either! No news is good news I guess, maybe tomorrow is our day!    But this is how I’ve been feeling

Hi Everyone,

I got an interview for Sept. 14 & 15 and submitted by application May 31. With that being said if anyone is interested in going over interview questions or knows of questions they asked in a previous years, I would love to work together to make this process as smooth as possible. I believe that everything happens for a reason! Remember we are all in this together as applications and later hopefully also as classmates too.

If you're interested please feel free to DM me and I can send you my cell 🙂

Did you receive a "secondary review" email, or just the interview?

Hey everybody! Is the secondary review just an email saying our info has been forwarded to the admissions committee for review? I got this email 6/8 and haven’t heard anything since.

I'm in the same position. No, there is a different email that should go out. Haven't received it yet either. Hmmm.

Just received my second email asking for clarifying information, this time they required a syllabus for my microbiology prerequisite... fingers crossed for an interview after all of this!

Goodness, they really like to keep us in suspense.

I am clearly very late to the chat on this one. I submitted my application but one of my transcripts is still missing so my application is not verified yet (a local community college uses paper transcripts). Do you all think it is too late? I know their priority deadline was August 1st and it seems they have already gone through a lot of your applications.

Congrats and good luck! When did you submit your app to UF?

I sent in my supplemental application on May 1st, and my verified CASPA was sent May 11th. I got an "application received" email on May 19th, and my "second level review" email on June 11th. I had two subsequent emails asking for more information about my volunteer hours and my microbiology course syllabus, and then the interview offer today, August 7th.

Hey y'all so I am a sophomore in undergrad and in the process of just starting to get PCE, shadow, and volunteer hours and etc, but I am super stressed out because I am itching to start getting PCE hours except its so difficult while in school. I was thinking about becoming an EMT and working for 2 years after I graduate but I wasn't sure if being an EMT is considered PCE among most colleges, does anyone know? (I also tried to work as a caregiver over summer and that job isn't for me)

Also, I'm trying to compile a list of PA schools to apply to, so if anyone has any recommendations for schools on the east coast please let me know! 🙂

Hey everyone, there are still tickets available for those who are interested in the Loma Linda PA program. We have changed our event from zoom to being ON CAMPUS. There will be prizes raffled off. Due to some restrictions still being in place, the tickets that are being sold will only allow one person per ticket. More info on the flyer and event bright website. Thank you so much! Hope to see you there. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/llus-3rd-annual-pre-pa-conference-tickets-145958073527

      Hi everyone!
I am currently in my third semester of didactic year and will be starting clinical rotations in the fall. My family is moving to Tampa and I was hoping to get a rotation set up in the area. I am looking for a preceptor in family or internal medicine, pediatrics, behavioral, women's health, or emergency medicine.
If you know any contacts or other forums I could reach out to please let me know, thank you!

      Hi all,
I'm a new grad starting out in ambulatory surgery-- I'm super excited because I love being hands on in the operating room. I was just wondering if any of the Surgical PAs could give some insights about ambulatory surgery? The site I'm going to be working at has 12 surgical subspecialities (list below). From what I gathered through the interview process, I'll be able to get experience in all of them. That being said I'm worried about being prepared and knowledgeable for cases. Anyone have any tips of how to study up, or even get more comfortable once starting? I have a little over a month before start date so any resources are welcome. Thanks in advance!
List of subspecialities/ topics to brush up on🤯🥴:

      Bariatric surgery
      Breast surgery
      Colorectal surgery
      General surgery
      Head and neck surgery
      Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
      Neurosurgery
      Ophthalmologic surgery
      Orthopedic surgery
      Pediatric surgery
      Podiatric surgery
      Sports medicine surgery
      Urologic surgery
      Vascular surgery
