UGoLong
You have good overall grades and experience. Your Fs were a long time ago. You have a good story to tell and I suspect that you won’t be held back by the old grades. You should consider briefly addressing them in your statement.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
DomRRTtoPA
People love a good comeback story. Your reasons for doing poorly are legitimate and your track record since your crisis look really good. @UGoLong has some good advice for you, mention it in your personal statement along with how you responded. Your GPA's are stellar with several F's, I have a feeling you will do well when you apply.
hustleforthePAC
yes i got in with 12 c’s in social sciences , 2 fs, 2ds. 8,000+ hours as emt training officer/ volunteer ma/ field supervisor for a company that provides care for those dx with developmental disorders. earned As in most prerequisites including organic and biochemistry. after 7 years and a BA/BS the school may qualify you for academic renewal to get rid of the Fs (if this is done and your oGPA is still at least a 3.2 you can apply to schools with a 3.2 minimum too as long as caspa calculates it correctly) Get 1-2 letters from your science professors, apply to schools that look at your last 45-60 units. tell your story in supplemental application questions. feel free to msg me
KingInTheNorth
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I know ultimately schools have the last word, but opinion/advice from people who have experience go a long way. I’m the first person in my family to attend college my parent’s education is only 3rd and 4th grade, so this is uncharted territory for me and still trying figure it out.
DomRRTtoPA
I am a first generation college graduate as well. After seeing my success I inspired my 2 brothers and sister to further their education. I am certain your family looks toward your with admiration especially your father. Keep up the good work.
