Bringing up personal issues somewhere other than the personal statement

Recommended Posts

So I recently had medical emergency that put me in the ICU for a few days, made me temporary disabled and is taking me out of work for two months. I think this is a very significant and humbling time that I would like to include in my application, but I already written and got my personal statement professionally edited and I am very satisfied with it. How else could I get my story across on my application? Or should I not include this on my application at all, but try to use it in interviews?

Now, it can only be shared in supplementals and interviews
