The Moment You Have All Been Waiting For

Recommended Posts

First we have the Doctor of PA Studies from MCPHS and now this... Doctor of Physician Assistant.

Can we please get it together and agree on a name of our terminal degree? We're all over the place. Good grief.

PA leadership just flat out sucks!! Why would any self respecting professional apply to either of those programs?!!!!  Those are the schools where PA’s are probably fighting tooth and nail against advancement of profession and respectable title change!!!I hope to soon see title  with some form of Medical Practitioner, then FPA, not close to, but EXACTLY like NP’s are getting.

Doctor of PA?! Come on Touro!! This is not rocket science. Get a better name! No one is going to apply for a Doctor of PA degree. Whoever made the this decision needs to get fired.

Medical Practitioner/Medical Care Practitioner with a degree of DMSc/DMS (Doctorate of Medical Science) sounds perfect. Easy to comprehend for the general public, patients, administrator and lawmakers.
