Keeping Paramedic License Active?

Recommended Posts

As long as you can keep up with the CME and paramedic skills. I work in a completely different field now than my pre-hospital/paramedic background and no longer wish to keep up paramedic skills and the related CME. I will probably retire that cert this year and let my certification go. If I still worked in EM/FM setting I would probably continue to keep it but really have no use for it in surgical setting.

Take it from an old geezer. Don’t let a certification that you obtain expire.

Yeah, I'm still holding on to about 50% of the certifications I've ever earned. Let a few of my pure IT and IT security ones lapse, but not the ones I consider core.  Interestingly enough, some of the ones I worked hardest for, like MCSE and CPP were simply too hard to keep.
