di6333
I was wondering if anyone has ever used Portage (https://portagelearning.com/) for any prereqs? I know some schools that won't take online prereqs, but the ones I'm applying to will. The website says that they're accredited through Geneva College, so I'm just wondering if anyone on here has had any experience/issues with Portage. I was planning at taking Biochem with Doane, but its a lot of $$$ that I don't have right now.
DiggySRNA
I took Psychology across the lifespan from them 2 years ago for nursing school and my nursing program accepted it. I believe all of the courses they offer is self-paced and you get 1 year to complete each course. Easy process tbh.
di6333
Yeah I'm applying to an accelerated nursing program who recommended it to me. I was wondering if anyone had any issues with it when they apply to PA school.
Guest RDtwoPA
I would contact a few of the programs you are interested in and ask them directly.

You can check their current accreditation by visiting the website for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. So in principle, there should be no problem with the courses being accepted. To put things in perspective...as an instructor of online general chemistry, physics, and organic chemistry...if any issue came up of my online courses not being accepted by an institution, I have several administrative routes that I can utilize to have my courses "whitelisted". To date, I have never heard of any instances in which my courses were questioned or not accepted. As a side note, Portage Learning does not offer organic chemistry or physics.
