pelicanfly
Hey all, Preface: I know this topic was posted before elsewhere (I believe in the 'specialties' thread), so I apologize in advance. I am a new graduate, in a primary cary outpatient clinic. I would say I had a preference to work with adult ambulatory/internal medicine but, in reality this clinic is a community health family medicine practice (Breakdown: 70% Adult, 10% adolescent, 5% prenatal/OB, 15% newborn/children). With that being said, at my desk I have only some basic medical texts that I used through clerkships, courses, and board prep. Some of these include 5-minute Consult, various board prep texts, and a really helpful Nutrition for Clinicians text. My inquiry: What recommendations do you have for medical reference texts that I can keep on the office bookshelf?Any others besides a recc for Current Medical D&Treatment, Dermatology text (Fitzpatrick's). both of which I plan to get. I really would like a good reference book to have for prenatal/OB and pediatrics Looking forward to your help, advice, recommendations, discussion!
