Organic chemistry 2 at Doane university (online)

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any experience taking an online ochem 2 class in Doane university. Wondering how the class itself is structured and how the exams and assignments are administered given that it is not proctored.

I took that course at Doane. It was an awesome experience. I was skeptical at first because I've never taken a Science course online, so I didn't know what to expect. Anyway, you basically have modules you complete each week. Each module has assignments which consist of discussion posts, worksheets, quizzes, and sometimes a lab component. The quizzes are timed, but you get like 2 hours to take it. The # of questions range from 20 to 30 if I remember correctly. There is a final, it is not proctored, and you get plenty of time to answer all the questions. Btw - everything is M/C and a few fill in the blanks. You can also work ahead if you like..just ask the teacher to open up all the assignments. I finished it all in one month.

And incase you didn't notice, this place has great resources and people seem to want to help each other out, so don't be afraid to ask for it once you start taking your courses.

That's impressive that you finished organic 2 in one month!  The record completion time for my organic chem course is about 5 weeks.  My Gen Chem course was completed in 3 weeks...but that was by a student housebound due to an injury.

      Hello all!
Has anyone taken nutrition online at Doane? I'm exploring my options but leaning more towards Doane University at the moment. ANY type of feedback regarding the course or other schools ya'll may have completed it at would be greatly APPRECIATED!
Thank you so much in advance 😁

      HI Folks,
I am currently in the second year of my contract, i have a bachelors degree in engineering but thats from asia.
I am an active duty army 68W medic currently working at an army hospital.
Question i have is that, i was going through lots of PA schools everywhere they say that the degree should be from an university in USA.
So is it not possible to get into any of the PA programs when i get out of military in couple of years without a bachelors  degree from america?
What can i do to improve my chances to get into any of the PA programs?
I checked these schools as a sample.
      University of Iowa
      University of Colorado
To be honest i dont care about the location once i get out, but wanted to know whats the way forward ?

I know this is mainly a "contact the school" issue, but I'm wondering is anyone has ever had a problem with programs accepting a combined organic chem and biochem course? I just found out one of them won't allow it after I applied 😞
