strugglingnewgrad
Hi, new grad, new hired PA in a clinical research facility. I have not accepted the job offer yet. What amount of salary is acceptable for a new grad research PA? And anyone else working in this field, who can share some of their good and bad experiences? Moderator EMEDPA Posted November 27, 2019 Moderator Share Posted November 27, 2019 As an aside, this is probably a good last PA job and not a good first PA job. You want to start in a broad field and become more specialized over time so as not to limit your future prospects. The only folks who fail PANRE are folks who went directly into narrow subspecialties and then forget everything about primary care, the basis of all of our exams.. as far as you actual question, please describe the job duties a bit.
strugglingnewgrad
it's in an inpatient setting. I would do physical exams on patients that are taking new medications, and take their history and address their adverse effects of the medication. then i would also read their EKGS and blood work. vb315
Are you working for a CRO? I used to work at a CRO before PA school and the medical group was 2 PAs and 2 physicians and this describes the job exactly. Did you wind up taking the job? How'd you find it?
